Director of Operations
David Wiesemann, is the Director of Operations of RE/MAX Heritage, in the Kansas City, Missouri area. With offices in Blue Springs and Lee's Summit. David has grown his brokerage to be one of the top brokerages in the Mid-states region. He consistently strives to guide his agents to become thriving, and successful. David does this through guided mentorship, coaching, and providing relevant classes and resources for the today's real estate market.
Since 2013 David has taken the RE/MAX Heritage from 8 agents to a thriving real estate firm with two offices and numerous agents. Many of whom consistently rank in the top 100 agents for the mid-states region. David's business philosophy "Agents grow through proper education, guidance and training. At RE/MAX Heritage we teach you how to create a sustainable business through training, technology and an open door office culture."
Director of Strategic Growth
In her role as Director of Strategic Growth, Shayla knows the value of relationships and it shows. RE/MAX Heritage has had consistent growth, in both production and size, since she came on in 2016!
“RE/MAX has the external environment completely in place,” said Shayla. “From onboarding, mentoring and growth, to support and success. It’s a well-trodden path. What I don’t know is who has the internal set up that would be a good match for RE/MAX, and this office in particular.”
Therefore, Shayla is intentional in getting to know every person she encounters to determine if they would be a good mutual fit for the office. She talks with people who already have their real estate license, people who are in the process of getting a license, people who are thinking about getting one and people in other vocations who are unhappy and considering real estate as a career.
“My goal is to provide support, and encourage personal growth in each person. I’m not out in the field, competing with agents in my office. I’m here working to keep their careers strong and growing.” Shayla doesn’t just encourage personal growth in others, she has that desire for herself as well. “I too have a business coach to remain mastery based, and to be able to provide a higher level of service.”
Director of Opportunity
Shaun Ashley is the Director of Opportunity at RE/MAX Heritage in Blue Springs, MO.
A native of Independence, Missouri, Shaun brings a diverse background to the RE/MAX Heritage Team. After graduating from Truman High School he decided to bypass college and enter the business world. His career began in the Bank Industry in which he held numerous positions including time in the lending department. In 2001 he entered the IT world which he was in until May 2017 when he joined the RE/MAX Heritage team. Shaun has held his Real Estate License since 2008. Prior to joining the team at RE/MAX Heritage he enjoyed a very successful career selling Real Estate even though it was not a “Full-Time” deal.
Shaun's Role at RE/MAX Heritage is to recruit talented individuals to join our team. He is also driven to help the agents on our team become successful in this incredible industry.
Susan, after several visits to Missouri, moved from Colorado (which she is a native of Colorado), and
moved to Blue Springs, Missouri 8 years ago. She has 5 son’s, 8 grandchildren, dogs, cats and a horse.
Susan started with RE/MAX Heritage in 2012 as a part time Administrative Assistant to David
Wiesemann, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Heritage and is now the Director of Production & Finance.
With a career expanding for more than 30+ years both in the residential and commercial real estate
industries starting in Colorado, Susan is responsible for overseeing, as well as auditing, all Listing and
Sales Transaction files for compliance with Local & State Board Rules & Regulations, as well as finalizing
transactions and handling the commission account for over 100+ agents in two offices.
In addition to this, Susan handles the Children’s Miracle Network account in which she generates an Honor Card for her agents through their donations on behalf of their clients. Susan also assists in training agents on
documentation with Contracts and supporting documents pertaining to their listing and sales
transactions as well as assisting new agents with office procedures and protocol.

Terri Gilgour is the Director of Development and Managing Broker at RE/MAX Heritage in Blue Springs, MO.
A native of Washington Missouri, Terri has an Associate degree in Theatre and Music and a BA in Early Childhood Education, which led her to 10 years of teaching Kindergarten before finding a passion for the work of real estate.
Terri spent 10 of her 13 years in the field as a buyer’s agent. When the opportunity came to combine her love of teaching with her love of real estate, she jumped at the chance.
Terri’s role at RE/MAX Heritage is to work with agents to set and meet both sales and career goals, conduct training and provide general guidance and support. Nothing excites her more than when agents meet and exceed their goals!
She believes in life long learning and growth, and that agents will thrive with a good support system. When you surround yourself with growth minded, positive, learning based people, the possibilities are endless!
Director of Agent Development
Lee's Summit, MO
Matt began a career in law enforcement in 2005. Working for Pettis County Sheriffs Department, Warrensburg Police Department before transferring to Lee's Summit Police Department in 2009. In 2013, Matt started his journey into Real Estate as a Salesperson for RE/MAX Heritage. He enjoyed helping families and also sharing his knowledge with other agents. This led to co-leading a team of 10 realtors, many of whom were new to real estate. Fast forward to 2018, when Matt joined forces with RE/MAX Heritage as a Director of Development for the Lee's Summit location.
Always eager to learn from others, Matt is a wonderful mix of teacher and student. Both of which are important pieces for his role as a Director of Development. Matt believes in the Complete Agent Development program. Where agents have access to Coaching, Training, Consulting, and Masterminding. "This is the road map of success. I have not only seen it in my own life but the lives of many agents." We know, having Matt experience these things first hand brings added knowledge into the classroom.
Matt and his wife Laura have three active children. "Family is important to me. I work hard so we can all enjoy a life of abundance." This life also includes deep ocean dives. Yes, Matt is a Certified Scuba Instructor.

Lee's Summit, MO
Born and raised in Kansas City, MO, Martin has always been immersed in cultural diversity! His background is even more diverse with experience ranging from sweeping warehouse floors to becoming a licensed Loan Officer and originating loans from California to Florida. Prior to his role as a coordinator for medical insurance he also performed social media management for H&R Block as well. When you have 5 reason (kiddos) that mean the world to you, it becomes crucial to understand that change encapsulates progress. Martin truly understood this and never turned away an opportunity to fail, learn, and grow! Driven, compassionate, humble, hilarious and a jack of all trades are just a few ways to describe him.
His views on life and people in general are what make him perfect for this role of Director of Agent Services & Marketing. Focusing on individual needs for agents, he fills the gap for agents needing support, especially as business becomes demanding. The goal he has for this role is to stay in front of the curve through creative resolutions and proficient implementation. As an agent himself , he is committed to identifying more ways to improve and promote balance for agents and their businesses!
Kyra Cooks is the Director of Hospitality at RE/MAX Heritage in Lee’s Summit, MO.
Born and raised in Kansas City, MO. As Director of Hospitality I strive to create a positive impact with each person from the moment they walk in to when they leave the office. I am here to make things easy for our agents and their clients from beginning to end. My responsibilities consist of answering front desk calls, keeping the office stocked and organized, maintaining a resourceful work environment for agents, and assisting in daily operations to make each day a success in the office. My vibrant personality and joy of serving others helps me to do just that.

Kari grew up in the Kansas City Area with her two older brothers and twin sister. Her Dad is a retired Kansas City Police Officer and he and her mother have been married for over 50 years! She has been married to her husband Mike for a little over 12 years and they have two sons Luke and Weston who keep them very busy!
Before starting RE/MAX in 2017, Kari worked in the banking industry for 13 years where she enjoyed meeting and helping so many great people. RE/MAX was such a smooth transition.
As the Director of Hospitality, Kari’s goal is to be the first smile a client or an agent sees when they walk in the door. She collaborates with our in-house Title Company and RE/MAX agents to ensure smooth closings. She also assists with daily operations and administrative duties, including resolving issues that may arise with agents. Her goal is to always emulate the office’s mission statement of Growing, Caring and Sharing.

Braeden Talkington is the Director of Agent Services and Marketing here at RE/MAX Heritage. Their
passion for helping agents succeed comes from a life-long pursuit of knowledge and teaching others.
From a young age Braeden has always had their nose stuck in a book, eagerly soaking up as much as
they could on their various interests. Being from a small town and attending a small school allowed
them to participate in several high school programs where they assisted teachers. This is where Braeden
found their talent for teaching.
In hopes of becoming a professor, Braeden attended Kansas State University. Here they were a member
of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society, active in the LGBTQ and Allies student group, wrote for the
university newspaper, had their senior research thesis published by the K-State Research Exchange, and
earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.86.
After graduating with their Bachelor of Arts in History, Braeden was disappointed to find that the job
prospects for a history professor were slim. They decided a move to Kansas City held more opportunities
for a young professional, and soon after relocating Braeden began working in Marketing, helping local
artists to hone their social media presence. After finding their calling in the form of content creation,
Braeden found work as a marketing coordinator in the Senior Living industry. As the COVID pandemic of
2020 took a toll on this industry Braeden went in search of new opportunities, which they found in real
Braeden serves to help de-code the complicated and ever-changing world of marketing for the RE/MAX
Heritage agents, giving them solid strategies and confidence to help their business grow. Braeden is the
go-to person for creative content, digital marketing strategies, and industry research.
When Braeden’s not working with agents to build their success, you can find them haunting the local
cafes and second-hand bookshops, attending concerts, or home spending time with family.
